As the founder of Smith Allen Group I want to thank you for visiting our site–I'm thrilled to have you here. My passion for real estate, branding, marketing, and web development led me to create a unique company that blends these elements seamlessly. These services have been a passion of mine for nearly two decades. Despite several attempts to separate them into individual service offerings, they continually converge. So, I've decided to embrace the idea of creating a hybrid agency/brokerage model.

An Accidental Beginning
While on a non-relevant sales call at Coldwell Banker in El Cajon in early 2003, I met Steve Wilson, a tie loosened and sleeves rolled up type of guy, and the General Manager at the time. I only spent an hour talking with him, but I was hooked and in July 2003, I obtained my real estate license. Five years later in 2008, I passed the broker's exam. Steve turned out to be an incredible leader and mentor–I'll always be grateful for that chance encounter, one that would ultimately lead to the path I'm on.

The Next Phase
My early years in real estate were incredible. I was selling lots of homes, working with a great team, and having tons of fun. After several years of selling homes, I started a real estate team–something that was relatively new at the time. While the team was moderately successful, I found myself spending more time managing other agents rather than working with my own clients. It was becoming clear that my favorite aspect of the business was working one-on-one with home owners to sell their most valuable asset, so I decided to go back to working exclusively with my own clients.

A New Direction
Working exclusively with my own clients was exactly what I wanted, but I began to feel like I was outgrowing residential real estate. I was craving a new challenge, which is what led me to pursue an interest in business sales and eventually opening Smith Allen Group.

The Present
These days, I'm having more fun than ever. Every business I work with is completely unique, and the process of preparing a business for sale, managing negotiations and helping someone transition out of their business is incredibly rewarding. At the same time, I've been able to revisit my passion for marketing, branding, and web development by offering these services to help business owners enhance the value of their business before putting it on the market.
