As the founder of Smith Allen Group I want to thank you for visiting our site–I’m thrilled to have you here. My passion for real estate, branding, marketing, and web development led me to create a unique company that blends these elements seamlessly. These services have been a passion of mine for nearly two decades. Despite several attempts to separate them into individual service offerings, they continually converge. So, I’ve decided to embrace the idea of creating a hybrid agency/brokerage model.
An Accidental Beginning
While on a non-relevant sales call at Coldwell Banker in El Cajon in early 2003, I met Steve Wilson, a tie loosened and sleeves rolled up type of guy, and the General Manager at the time. I only spent an hour talking with him, but I was hooked and in July 2003, I obtained my real estate license. Five years later in 2008, I passed the broker’s exam. Steve turned out to be an incredible leader and mentor–I’ll always be grateful for that chance encounter, one that would ultimately lead to the path I’m on.
Simple Values
Growing up, my parents instilled in me some traditional values that have become the foundation for how I conduct myself in my personal life and in business–if you’re from my generation, you’ll recognize them.
- Treat others the way you want to be treated.
- Provide better service than what’s expected.
- Always tell the truth, even when it hurts.
- Always be early to appointments—a saying I live by is, “If I’m on time, I’m already late.”
One quote that resonates deeply with me is, “One of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth the doing is what we do for others. --Lewis Carroll” This philosophy guides everything we do at Smith Allen Group.
